All of our faculty are involved in full-time local church ministry. They are men who have received theological training and are experienced as pastors and teachers of God’s Word.
Lance Roberts, D.Min., director of ČBI
Lance serves as Dean and professor at the Český biblicky institut. He is a graduate of Liberty University (B.S.) and The Master’s Seminary (M.Div., D.Min.), and was ordained to the gospel ministry in 2001. Since that time he has lived and ministered in the Czech Republic as a church planter and pastor. He currently serves as one of the pastors/elders at sbor BJB Kroměříž and is one of the founders of Občanské sdružení Didasko. Lance is the author of Co očekávat od svého pastora “What to Expect from Your Pastor” (Didasko, 2014).
Jonathan Moorhead, Ph.D.
Jonathan, a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (Ph.D.) and The Master’s Seminary (Th.M. and M.Div.), was ordained to the gospel ministry in 2008, and began serving in Russia at the Samara Center for Biblical Training where he served until 2014. In Samara he taught Church History, Apologetics, and Theology, but has moved to the Czech Republic to assist in teaching these areas of study in the Czech Bible Institute. He is certified as a biblical counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). Currently he is serving with Křesťané Kuřim. He is married and has five children.
Bc. Alois Klepáček, M.a.
Alois was ordained to the ministry in 2009 and has served as a pastor of the Baptist church in Kroměříž since 2007. He is a graduate of the University Mateja Bela where he studied in the Department of Evangelical Theology and Missions (Bc.). He also obtained the Master of Arts in New Testament program at the European Bible Training Center in Berlin, Germany. He is also a founding member of the občanské sdružení Didasko.
Antonín Váhala, PH.D.
Antonín has moved to the area in order plant a church in Přerov and help to teach at the Czech Bible Institute in Kroměříž. He has a wife and seven children. He became a believer in the United States, where he also attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and received M.Div. and Th.M. He wrote his Ph.D. thesis (in the area of history of the Bohemian Reformation) at the University of New England (Armidale, Australia).
John Dostal, M.Div.
John currently serves as the director of 360 Rethink s.r.o. He is a graduate of Trinity International University (B.A.) and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.). John has served in pastoral ministry for more than 10 years and in 2011 was commissioned for service in the Czech Republic by Ambassadors of Grace International in parntership with Grace Fellowship Church. He is certified as a biblical counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). John is married and has five children.
Marcus Denny, M.Div.
Marcus serves as the interim pastor of Biblický Sbor Kreštanův Kladno. He is a graduate of Whitworth University (B.S.) and The Master’s Seminary (M.Div.), and was ordained to the Gospel ministry by Cornerstone Bible Church in 2007. During seminary and upon ordination he served as an associate pastor at CBC. Since 2009 has been serving in the Czech Republic as a church planter.
Ing. Meinolf Mellwig
Meinolf is a German missionary that has served in Czech Republic since 1994. In 1995, he began planting a church in Ostrava-Poruba, and in 2013 began planting a second church in the city of Beroun. He is part of the leadership council of the Plymouth Brethren Churches in Czech Republic. He is married and has five children, and one grandchild.
Radek Kolařík, M.A.
Radek has served since 2004 as the pastor of the church Křesťané Kuřím that he planted. He is a graduate of Liberty University (B.S.) and finished Master of Arts (M.A.) in New Testament program at the European Bible Training Center in Berlin, Germany.
Wesley Robinson, M.A.B.C.
Wesley has served with the Plymouth Brethren Church in Brno-Líšeň since 2006. He is a graduate of Davis College (B.R.E.), and finished a master’s degree in biblical counseling at The Master’s College (M.A.B.C.). He is certified as a biblical counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). He was licensed to the ministry by Bouquet Canyon Church in 2010.
