This program is designed for Christians who would like to grow in their understanding of God’s infallible Word, grow in their relationship with God, and be more effective in their ministry for the Lord Jesus Christ.
This program consists of two parts: Old and New Testament Survey and Practical Theology. The length of the program is 10 months. The student will participate in 10 weekend intensives (Friday evening – Practical Theology, and Saturday – Bible Survey), once a month for 10 months.
Old and New Testament Survey
The primary focus is to gain an overall understanding of the message of the Bible. During the program the student will read through the entire Bible and have monthly assignments. Each book of the Bible will be examined, giving attention to the main message of each book and how it relates to the rest of Scripture. The key themes, events, people, as well as the literary structure, historical backgrounds, geographical settings, and difficult passages will be studied.
Practical Theology
The aim of this course is to help the student to know how to apply the biblical knowledge gained to everyday life. In this part of the program several topics will be discussed, such as: role of husband and wife in the family, church and society, personal witness in the world, discipleship, prayer, how to deal with sin, fruits of the Spirit, and many others. The ultimate goal is to facilitate spiritual growth, which brings about greater maturity and Christian character in the lives of the students.
